eQuoo for Students

eQuoo uses cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT) techniques, combined with gamification, to bring a refocused approach to mental wellbeing training.

Students can progress through each level and gain a certificate of resilience once passing level 15, allowing them to showcase soft skills to employers and enhance their portfolios.

We have a no-phone policy on-site. How can our students use eQuoo?
eQuoo can be played via mobile app or through our web version. If you do have a no-phone policy on-site, our web version can be used on any computer and is available to play in a classroom setting.
Do players need internet access to play?

Players require good internet access to play on both mobile and web.

What if the app flags a problem like a high rate of anxiety?
eQuoo is designed to reduce symptoms of anxiety and depression, so scores that may be flagged as higher than expected/desired should come down. Furthermore, engaging with a therapeutic activity like eQuoo may lead to anxiety or depression scores temporarily increasing as individuals challenge themselves or reflect on their current situation. This initial spike would be expected to decrease over time. Should they continue to increase, or you feel worried about your scores, we recommend speaking to a qualified mental health professional.
What age group is eQuoo appropriate for? What is the recommended minimum age for users?

eQuoo is approved for children aged 12+, but we suggest 14/16+

Does eQuoo target the whole school or students who need support?
eQuoo is for a whole School/College approach. The key focus of eQuoo is prevention, and by giving all students access to eQuoo, they will be given access to mental health support that will start to build foundations for lifelong wellbeing. The psychological and resilience-building skills that will be gained via eQuoo will also help alleviate symptoms of depression and anxiety that an individual may currently be experiencing while also preparing individuals for future adversity.
How long will it take for students to see a difference in their mental wellbeing?
Students will be able to feel the impact of the first skill they learn, as all psychological skills taught in the game are chosen because they are easily understood, easily implemented, and have a large impact that can be subjectively felt. Clinical change occurs around level 3, and after 7 levels or five weeks of gameplay, we measure the change for our clinical trials.
How do I, as staff, know whether my students benefit from eQuoo?
A detailed Analytics dashboard within eQuoo will allow you to analyse data in depth to identify trends, better understand your student cohort’s well-being and mental health, and track improvements.
